HK GOLFER MAGAZINE is published by the Hong Kong Golf Association and produced by Design Circles Limited. 只有正確的上桿步驟,方可令你在揮桿擊球時製造出相對的速度。如圖所示的揮桿步驟,當球桿上桿至頂點時(圖 3),其路徑其實要比準備動作時的角度要陡斜得多。我在下桿時透過將重心轉移至左腳,同時轉動左臀,利用與地面的反作用力製造動力。這樣我就能借助球桿的重量,同時捲動我的雙臂,製造平順的揮桿路徑。一個好的球手,會在揮桿時增加手腕的屈曲角度,但並非必要。揮桿時可以將能量傳送至擊球的重點,在於在肩膀轉動時確保手臂、手肘及胸部保持連繫,而前臂和手腕反而維持住被動的狀態。

這時臀部繼續轉動,肩膀和手臂會同時捲動,在擊中球後跟進至臀部的位置。以上這一連串的動作,被稱為肌肉拉緊縮短循環,在視覺上就是透過延後(Lag)製造良好的揮桿效果。

我經常看到有兩大錯誤,一樣會導致揮桿時流失能量和下桿時太陡斜的揮桿路徑。首先如圖 4 所示,右手臂在上桿至頂點時太過放鬆,導致在下桿時完全劃不出適當的弧線,令右臂需要過份延長方能打中球,結果打出右曲球、打厚甚至是擊中球的上方。第二種錯誤則是在下桿時嘗試將右手肘拉向身驅(圖 5),導致手臂和身體不能自然地同時轉動,流失力量之餘更令下桿路徑變得陡斜。

請緊記,如果你在開始下桿時首先讓左臂部轉動,從而增加臂部至手部的捲動,就能輕易令下桿路徑平順,這就是你的揮桿開始變得有效的跡象。
