HK GOLFER MAGAZINE is published by the Hong Kong Golf Association and produced by Design Circles Limited. 切桿以後話咁易

曾經有多少次,你將眼前一記易如反掌的切桿,變成 3 桿也切不上果嶺?我見過無數高差點球手只懂得用掘起桿切桿,而忽略了其實傾角更低的球桿會令他們更輕鬆上到果嶺。

圖一顯示,我在距離球洞 20 碼處切桿,面前是一大片平坦的果嶺,我只需要將球切至落點在果嶺邊緣,慢慢地讓它滾向球洞。我選擇了一枝 P 桿,一般飛行距離為三分一左右,另外三分二的距離就由它在平坦的果嶺上向前滾。我事前先選擇好落點,再根據坡道和球線調整方向,如此直接的切桿,根本不需要任何手腕動作。

 

這是我教導初學者的最基本切桿,容易上手但異常有效,其實連頂級球手如 Jason Day 也經常在職業球賽中使用這種技巧。

 

這種切桿的秘訣,是我會感覺到手臂和肩膊如像一體,我在練習時會將兩個桿套夾在腋下以製造連貫的感覺。我在準備切桿前,會將重心集中在身體左邊,保持住這種感覺直至擊中球為止,但我的手、球桿及桿身都不會過份移前,桿面方正或輕微開放,站位亦輕微開放。

 

我在起動時會鎖緊右膊,從而令左肩感覺較低,頭部保持穩定,左膝輕微向前屈曲來讓重心靠向左邊。下桿時感覺左肩帶動左臂率先向下壓,至接近觸球時,左肩向上提升,再容許頭部順勢向上移。

 

這種切桿最適合果嶺旁的球位,前面就只有暢通無阻的果嶺,而這種技巧最能夠保持揮桿時的路徑,在觸球時令桿頭傾角發揮完美效果。要控制距離的話,只需保持節奏,增加或減少揮桿的幅度。開始時先習慣用 P 桿,然後再習慣用 8 及 9 號鐵桿來切更遠的距離。這技術不單能有效降低你的桿數,更能讓你的對手看我目瞪口呆!
